What we have to offer:

Many faces, one faith.

The land at the corner of Ames and Charles was given to the Matthews United Methodist Church in 1877.  Since then it has been holy ground and Christ Our Shepherd Ministries has tried to preserve the sanctity of the land by the use we are making of it.  Christ Our Shepherd Child Development Campus is a non-profit organization.  The campus is funded by donations and fees collected for services.

The church and other buildings have been renovated to include the library, chapel/meeting room and educational classrooms that are home to our childcare, preschool, mother's day out, after school and summer camp programs.   It is the desire of the board, staff and our volunteers that throughout the campus the love of Jesus will be expressed in our actions and words as well as in the atmosphere of the buildings.

Christ Our Shepherd, following Christ's example of love and compassion, strives to:
° Provide quality, Christian-based children's programs and education for

all children regardless of family structure;
° Empower, minister to and advocate for the unique needs of single parents; and
° Provide educational resources to the community through the Matthews Christian Library.

 We provide material to strengthen, support and educate Christian Families
